I wouldn't begrudge any of our Federations of any sport thats played abroad spending the money for any advantage whatsoever if achieved.
Even though it comes out of us supporters/registered players purse OR could come from the profits they have made from the hosting of OS tournaments/OS clubs visiting - you know things that alf for eg can't do
But it is a thought haha....

    Just for you Normasaurus https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode/?id=154703

edit - just got from a forum I frequent lol
    AFL vs FOOTBALL

Play for an outdated inner city suburb vs Play for your country.
Play in a half country grand final vs play in the world cup.
Watched by millions vs watched by billions.
Be one of 36 on the field vs one of 22.
Develop strength and speed vs develop strength, speed, skill and tactics.
One body shape vs any body shape.
Stupid shaped ball vs object of beauty.
    Crazy rules vs simple rules.
Lots of easy scoring vs a "GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL".
Wear rubbish colors (e.g. brown and yellow) vs cool kits.
    Play nothing vs play FIFA.

AFL will die (it is just a matter of time). Real football will grow.
Some people are afraid of the light others light the way.
    Simon Hill is the latter.

edit another for lets face it - we've heard all the skippy centric alf banter re real football
    this one pops lol.....
Scoring in the world game is like climaxing with a world renowned supermodel; scoring in AFL is like nutting one out alone in your mum's basement. Sure it's easier and you can do it a lot and exclusively in your home part of the world, but who else cares?

I don't follow soccer at all, but I've seen the news reports about how the all whites were treated in Peru.

Is this normal soccer behaviour? I'm talking about the fans letting off fireworks outside the hotel 2/3am,,the airforce doing very low fly bys at similar times, bus driver refusing to go faster than 35kmh to make them late to training, plus other pretty low tactics to disrupt the all whites preparation.

yer I was reading and hearing about that earlier today.
Look, there is no excuse from our spectrum of the world but where that country is from its a melting pot.
Crazies all around them incl themselves - I been to Lima and found it great but so different to us white euro/anglo backround breed.
    Poor.
They haven't been in the Cup since 1982 so this would have been so huge for them but I don't excuse what the fanatical locals had done overnight and worse the fighter planes flying by making noise - so so wrong.
So, no its not normal behaviour from the Euro part of the world But Latinos/Sth Americans are mad crazy sons of bitchs so nothing surprise's me.
This is another part reason why we wanted to shift from Oceania Conference - in additional play offs the travel distance we played Uruguay and others and it was just as crazy and unfair but NZ have opted to stay this path so they have replaced us being Kings of the Pacific so they got what they wished for as they say.

100% normal behaviour in South America especially yes. Ex socceroo keeper Mark Swartzer last week said they copped similar treatment when they played Uraguay 15 odd years ago over there. Heavy security presence but instead of protecting them the local cops would usher fans close enough to spit on them..imagine if we treated visiting teams the same way.
