Mate and I had EXACTLY the same conversation yesterday, sitting in front of a brand new 70" HD TV and cant find a single feed in HD... Absolutely pathetic.

HD is kept for important things like old movies, reruns of Big Bang and reality TV......

I swear when I built a media center PC in 2008 there were more HD channels around back then? All the major players had a HD feed.

I had to laugh at the deal done by the AFL. Chanel 7 got exclusive rights to the GF, so it wasn't played live on Foxtel. No Biggie you say well that meant I had to sit through 70,000 Harvey Norman add say come and buy a TV to watch the footy finals. Annoying enough normally, but it was bugging me that those spots would among the most expensive advertising slots in the country and if you wanted to buy a big TV well the GF was on. It's too late. Then the 1/2 wits at CH7 scabbed out and don't broadcast in HD. FFS what they are waiting for a bigger event? I know they do that for Bathurst but i thought they loved footy.

It doesn't make sense that the FTA channels use thier secondary chanels for Full HD. I think ch 9 and 10 did play the GF on full HD a few years ago but since then all the big sports are in SD.

it odesnt make sense to me that stations like 7 mate are HD and 7 is SD
yet they put mainly crap on 7 mate, and the main shows on 7
what 2 yo runs the network?
