The way I see it, got nothing really to lose aside from the cars and bank balance, live at home with parents so if it goes south its not like I'm out on the streets.

No fucks given, money and cars will come again if I lose them.

I started with no cars and no money once before.

So you are setting up already to pay the debt....

Have fun and be careful, there are many pricks who are out to scam you.

    A few quick rules:
    1) Anyone who is trying to sell you stuff is NOT your friend, beware the bullshit. This is especially true for advertising.
    2) No one from any government department whether fed, state or local is there to help you, they are ALWAYS there to see how much money they can get from you.
    3) You will find that many of your "mates" will now treat you as a traitor and the enemy but expect you to shout at the pub and pay for stuff because you are now "rich".
    4) Never ever ever under ANY circumstances employ any friend or relative. It will end badly.
    5) Your employees will be your "friends" until times are tough and there is no money when they will sudden become your "enemy", bad mouth you to everyone and do stupid shit as "revenge" (you may have seen this already from the other side )
    6) NO ONE cares whether you live or die, all they care about is what you can do for them and what they can get out of you.

Yes it all sounds nasty bitter and twisted but unfortunately it is reality and I have been running my current business employing many people for over 30 years.

But in saying all this it is the greatest way to live (other than winning lotto) and I would not have it any other way.

Thanks for the advice, we can be internet enemies (arguments are always Falcon Forums vs Damo) when it comes to ideology but you guys have got it down pat business wise so no arguments with me there and I appreciate it.

I'm real sus on sales reps, and it sucks in this industry (probably other industries with specialised tools too) because when it comes to the expensive tools like scan tools everyone says their product is the best but its not like you can jump on the internet and read reviews, there isn't really any reviews out there on this so we've gone out and bought one particular one and we will see how we go. We're lucky enough that some other business' let us play with their scan tools so we could get a feel for them, we've got one but we will need a few others down the track.

Its a partnership with a mate (I know red flag) we're both qualified auto electricians, he will mainly be swinging spanners as he has much more experience on general auto electrics where as I'm specialised in a particular area, I'll be the one dealing with suppliers, customers, anything involving paperwork and I'll get out and help out in the shop when need be. Since business partner also has LV mechanical qualification it means we can also do log book servicing if we want to in the future. He is happy doing that as he would rather be out in the workshop rather than dealing with people and paperwork.

We don't plan on employing other people, so it will just be us two so a small operation, take on what we can comfortably manage and go from there.

I'm happy because it gives me a chance to run everything how I think it should run, I've butted heads big time with supervisors in the past who didn't want to listen to the people on the ground about how their idea does not work, now I've got the opportunity to do it how I think it should be done.

Roller doors open 1st of July hopefully if everything goes to plan.

And I don't agree its Falcon Forums vs Damo
However you do give us a lot of entertainment
Every position in life needs a opposite opinion, and you do a very good job of putting your point of view across

Its really been quite lonely in here the last couple of weeks without you

Yes...I've been burnt here too. Both appointing the said person directly or facilitating their employment. Never again.

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

After we've got some work done and some photos of it, I'll probably show it here, we've got some cool ideas and some customers who are already keen.
