Could do. Redline make an adaptor plate for squarebores that blocks them off, I see some people have shoved bolts in the holes?

Fucking Murphy. Now the bastard won't start. Plenty of fuel going down it's gob too. I hope I haven't fucked something else when I was doing it.

But seriously, does it give any hint of firing or cough? Maybe too much fuel flooding it?

LOL yes, even took it off and put it back again to be sure

It could be flooding, but first I'm going to test the spark as soon as I'm done with kids baths and bedtime. No hint of firing at all

Ok I got the bastard going, unplugged the choke and for some reason it started. There is obviously an issue there.

Way too rich though, it looked like one of Saddam's oil well fires in 1991, so I can foresee a visit to spannerhands this week.

Tell you what though, sounded quite different, pretty tough actually with this "don't fuck with me" induction whistle

What have you done as far as setting the carby up?

Double check your float levels and idle screws....

I've just fiddled with the idle mixture screws so far, but not enough (had to down tools) so tomorrow after work will have another go. I'll do the old "turn them all the way in and start backing them off gradually" method.
