Ive only done 8,700 and they have plenty of tread.

Will get the PS4's later in the year once I determine the future of this car.

My rears were near on gone by 10000k's.
Still on the fronts @ 13000k's.
I'd keep it Brent, she's never to be replaced and they are so fun to drive.

Replaced my rears at 27000k's, fronts are at 30,000 now with probably 5000 left.

Im happy with the PZero's while they're upto 50% tread wear.

27 from the rears, you are in a nanny state eh.
Many have reported 10-15k on the other forum.
I'm no burn out person and I've hated hearing that axle tramp so a nono but have launched Sprint many times off the line and done quite a few power slides through roundabouts thats what ate mine up I guess.
The only issue I have had with them is the rock flicking.
Now having these 20's on I'll try the Michys fitted next but whole new ball game at the sizes compared to the OE 19's.

Interesting having been looking into replacement tyres for these 20" staggered rims.
In the HG thread Premcar is offering that rim tyre package with those Michy Cup 2 tyres.
Randel passed on some estimate costs for those above and it baffles being the premium those Cup tyres (estimate around $2k) are pricing I've checked for my rims of PS4's 245's/285's are costing me on $1786.
You could consider going Cup tyres being not a daily eh, just a thought.

just after some opinions in advance.
Sprint will be out of factory wty end of Sept.
    Obviously I'm still keeping it.
So whats your feeling about taking extended factory wty with Ford ?
I hear the Ford carry over one is pricey ?
To date I have hardly had problems, minor ones if at all, those things don't concern me its the drive train and more major items.
We all have heard of countless diffs whining, I keep checking mine whilst driving, so far so good.
These are the type of ones that I have that - will I or won't I stick by them purely on those what if big factors.
Say my diff bush's are about to go, I'll get them checked before the expiry and if so get them replaced.
My other way is stuff it, don't bother end of Sept and just cope with whatever occurs in the future.
In that case its minor mod times, exhaust, tune and I may end up lowering it a little finally with some coil overs.
This is secondary thinking, do I or don't renew Ford insurance if in my shoes ?
What have you done with your last new Falcon purchase ?

By the way, he's still an absolute joy to get in and drive, it might be behind the times but its still the ducks guts to me.

Maurie i have no dog in this hunt,

But ...if you were me and I was you and everything I have heard about this Sprint being the ducks guts by all and sundry , I wouldn't touch it at all ?

If it needs coil overs/ wider wheels and more performance then the factory provided well then I would have to believe it wasn't that special in the first place ?

Don't do it mate.... it's a slippery slope and it will just empty your bank account... trust me
Thank you Ford for the memories

Depends on the cost of the extended factory Warranty. Personally, I would do it as if I were ever to sell it makes it more desirable to prospects. There is also that peace of mind too. Only you as the original owner can purchase and extend that warranty. It also cant be done after the fact if you change your mind. It's pretty exclusive.

The diff bushes wear out regularly so there is no getting around this. They aren't crazy expensive to replace, however. A diff rebuild would be another matter. Big ticket items are the engine and trans, with the ZF the most likely to cause issues out of the two. That's if you regularly punish your car which I don't get the impression you do.

Dazz, I hear you and know too well re that slippery slope in my past, not like Col's or your kind of investment but I know, you end up regretting things at times with your rides, why did I do this arrrrgh situations.
You know what its like when you have your new ride and being the Miami, its damn good but now that I'm used to the powa you get that mindset oh to have that bit more.
Need to slap myself maybe lol.....
I quote ducks guts purely on the Falcon experiences I've had over a long time, stock for stock its the best ever imo as it should be.
I could do it easily, I have a sct box, just book into my tuner choice, get a cats back/tune I'm getting that extra boost But the pitfalls even just this is - lost warranty, Col your right I'm not that abuser type of driver, forget burnouts but spirited type, launch quick, press it round the twisties, a minor power slide for kicks but even this type of steering screws that stupid blade rear, as mentioned not a overly expensive repair.
So yer the decision will be come renewal is stay factory or test the boundaries at my peril.
Correct, its the drive train that hurts if I'm on my own.
Good point re being the original owner that also can carry over the Ford wty, the peace of mind is very nice, a good future selling tick of approval as well but I don't even know I would let it go in the first place, end up with the kids - be it to use or get them some coin in their pocket in the future, their choice when I'm up up and away.
    Thanks, more thinking to do.

Unless they've changed the rules in the last few years, anyone can buy extended factory warranty, as long as the car is still within the original warranty period. I had the option on my bf2 and my fg and I was the 2nd owner on both. I turned it down. From memory it was around $2k for the full 3yrs. I think 1 yr was around $900. That was a while ago, and relying on memory.
