As much as I admire peoples efforts - set ups - and the wonderful places to stay at or venture around our beautiful country I always see it as to laborious and the amount of stuff you need + the weather makes or breaks it.
We have over the years stayed in the cabins at cara parks and find this pretty dam close to the camping feel LOL....
I can walk by them and admire and say GDay
Ah yes camping with the scouts, brings back memories of those blasted big old Army tents and the huge lamp post wooden poles they used.

My wife have been doing the camping thing since January 1976, there isn't too much of this great country we haven't seen or dragged our 4 kids to see, every year when the kids were younger we would go camping somewhere, it is/was a cheap holiday, we have 'free' camped more than stayed in caravan parks.

We have moved from a small 2 man tent, to a 6 person 1 million poles and pegs tent, to a Southern Cross 6 person tent (best tent ever) to a Southern Cross camper trailer to a A'Van Camper (just sold) and we are now awaiting the arrival of a Goldstream pop top 'off road' caravan

I recommend 'free camping', but you had better be a clean camper or old buggers like me will tell you to clean up your mess.

Fucking shits me how people just leave their rubbish and ciggie butts and everything at bush camp sites. Filthy pigs, ever heard of a rubbish bag. People like this are the reason "free camping" will become a "once upon a time" story you tell your grandkids

Here is our Coromal F400 when we bought it. I want to make a few changes to it (water tank meter, 12v power panel, proper bed end covers and a roll out awning)
