The Motor report. XR8 Sprint review. A good read.

    This is worth a read

Maybe Ford could have offered the XR8 Sprint with a more outrageous colour palette; perhaps it should’ve had a bigger body kit, different wheels, more interior changes, circular headlamps, called it something else, thrown in more gadgets…

We heard all this and more during our time with the XR8 Sprint.

Not because Ford Australia got it wrong with the Falcon Sprint, but because the Falcon means so much to so many people. Each has their own Falcon story to tell.

The XR8 Sprint, a big, bold sedan oozing horsepower from every pore is a brilliant conclusion to a uniquely Australian story.

And there wasn’t a single complaint about the performance from any of those Ford enthusiasts after a full-noise drive.

But the bitter disappointment of those who 'missed the train' is palpable, with this limited edition model already completely sold out.

A good fair report - just as all of us wishs for more but the package as is is perfectly fine for what it is !
Like the comment of no push button starter - yer I agree, old school, its retro lol...well said.
This ain't your standard taxicab ! it sure isn't and neither was Tickfords to FPV's.
Unlike tech fest euro V8's this one can still put the fear of God in you - yer yer !

Its very grounded. The suspension description needed work but the sentiment was spot on.

@falconforums glad you enjoyed it! It's always great to be able to write about an inspiring car like the Sprint.

Re VG, yes Dash, I had really considered it, it was on the short list.
In a way such as Blueprint, flag ship colour, stands out, suits the car very well.
I have enough bling bling with Blueprint, compared to others I don't find black a burden to own, cars get dirty period.
That 2nd pic Aero eh ? the good looking sleeper, another I had considered.

Wifes JEEP I tub monthly, my Lux once I feel its time and due to its size I come to accept the car wash, having endured 2hrs of my time washing the bastard I've said enough is enough - so once she looks too bad into the car wash, bliss.
As for the Silhouette Sprint - she'll be cared for just as the T3.
