    RIP Thread.....

As much as I don't like starting up this type of a thread we should bundle in all related loss's in one thread ? makes sense no.

I just wish to announce that Midget Farrelly died today at 71yrs young.
I was and still am a avid surfer.
He was ahead of my time/era but an important figure at the start of the modern growth of the game through the '60's.
    1st official World Champion 1964.
A local near where I frequented back in my youth - condolence's and enjoy the ride up there Midge.

Just a week or two ago, arguably our greatest Swimming Coach, Forbes Carlyle died at 95.
I remember being taught to swim 'properly' in the sea pool at Cronulla Beach by a young Forbes Carlyle. Our Swim team has never done as well at the Games since he gave it away.

yes good bringing this up Burnout.
First of all RIP Forbes, with your Ursula what you had done for swimming has been huge, bravo and what a mark made.
A icon in the swimming game, I actaully have a mate who was a top swimmer and ended up coaching for Forbes and is to this day.
I grew up with his coaching business based in Pymble in the '70's where a young Shane Gould who attended my school did lap after lap under Forbes guidance rest is history.
My 3 kids learnt at their facilities in Ryde where I live close by and the business is still going on there flourishing thanks to Forbes and Ursula's hands on guidance on their business/coachs and clients.
    RIP once again.
YNWA ! off to CL 2018.

Still makes me laugh that show. RIP Ross Higgins.

Ross was also the voice of Louie the Fly, and was from the inception of the character. I hope Moretein does something to commemorate this.
