Yep. Ever since the front got smashed Iíve lost all interest in it.
Motor will go in my pano, Iíll sell off the rest of the parts.

I had hoped to find a clean au xls so I could use a lot of the parts on the Ute, but it seems all the aus that come up near here are trashed or the owner is asking drug money.

    It really is a beauty.

Itís a got 190000km on it, old fella I got it off had it for 15 years and did 50000 Kay in that time. Ex qld govt car apparently.
Itís set up to tow their caravan but they only used it for that half a dozen times haha.
Itís got a 2500kg Heyman Reese tow bar, Haymen Reese electric brake controller, Munroe 4x4 rear shocks and a aftermarket trans cooler.
He actually said it had a twin shock setup, it used one set for normal driving and then once loaded it sat down on the second shocks to handle the weight. But there is only two shocks, so I presume there some sort of progressive shock.
Iíve only driven it about two kays, but it seemed pretty compliant.
Itís been out of rego for 12-13 months and it shows.

Roof lining is starting to go, trans pan gasket is weepy, air con needs looking at.
But everything works, tyres are like new, itís very original except for the towing mods.

Nice looking, comfy, cruisy and for the most part reliable (apart from coil packs ).

I love the EL. An fully optioned XR8 version with sunroof, sharktooth rims and Tckford body kit would do nicely thanks.

I always preferred the luxury of the ghias over the fairly basic xrís..

My ef ghia is still the one car I really regret selling.

Loved the gun metal grey but love the original red EF XR8. Would love to find a cheaper one to do up.

I had a gunmetal EF XR6. Great car - just wish it came with more 'luxury' bits, like Leather and Climate.

Mine was stock except for a redback exhaust and a couple of the old E Series group buys from the old forum days.
