Looks a little like a rx8 from directly behind.

Knowing this has been built as a dedicated RWD/AWD performance platform with N/S Engine placement is very encouraging....

7 years in development apparently. That red Stinger definately looks good.

Where the world is moving to front wheel drive, Kia are doing the opposite.

Would the Kia Stinger get this attention if it was a front wheel drive?

The front is a bit fussy, could be very colour sensitive I reckon.

Nope. If there was another Falcon and Commodore on their way, I think it would be mostly forgotten as well - its timing in Australia is pretty good and will put a lot of people on notice.

I can't believe how far Kia has come. I remember reading something years ago that when Kia was engineering the first Festiva for Ford that they couldn't get the door seals to work in Australia because the engineers had never seen the fine red dust/soil that we have here. They had to send a couple of cars to Ford Australia for their help.

    Colour me interested, in white...
I'm in love with my car. Got a feel for my automobile.

    No.

Kia are making a very clear statement here, "we understand the difference between daily transport and performance motoring".

A while back they employed the Head of BMW M Sport to develop these products.

brembos, Michelin PS4 tyres, adoptive shocks, purpose designed RWD platform, twin turbo V6, AWD option.

    Kia are taking this serious.

This will be the first of many.
