    Yep, can see an upgrade kit costing $100K on top of the car itself.

    Probably a $200K investment to get onto the grid with spares.

    A lot of money to spend on a car in a new series that has a questionable audience following.

    It could very well appeal to the young blokes, a shit load of them own twin cab diesel utes, they are fashionable

    To me this is where there's a massive "conflict".

    These "Trucks" will look nothing like the lifted "off-road" donor's they're supposed to be promoting.

    Why change the product so damn much just to make it suitable to race when the end product a) looks nothing like the donor, and b) is being used in a manner it was never designed to be used? It just conflicts completely with me.

    Will this series create a new aftermarket segment?

    To me Walkinshaw should have got together with PRA and said "hey, lets put a proposal together to Supercars to race Mustang V Camaro to replace the ute series.

    That way they keep the V8 fans engaged, keep the tribal rivalry going strong and create product awareness and retail demand.
