I guess that takes away from sandown but when something such as this is so on point and it's the same sponsor which is rare, it just deserves more.

Take it to bathurst I say. At the least. Especially if as they say red is faster.

These next 3 races are massive. We need giz to have issues no doubt about that and if fabs thinks he can still win from his position, on the subject of mind condition, this is going to be a cracking long distance season.
DJR are fortunate to be able to revisit their own historic liveries from current sponsors, its a perfect match.

As for some of the other efforts, to me personally, unless you've got some kind of link to a historic livery, by team or sponsor, then just don't do it.

EG Preston hire racing copying an old HDT livery just seems completely wrong.

Walkinshaw racing are probably the only team who should be doing old HDT/HSV liveries.

No. Biggest downside is that Ford never did a red with the FGX.

Well you now have a solution, buy their red panels when they're done!

Here we go. First day of what will set up our championship.

Still say it's a big ask for Bamber especially if it rains.

Have high hopes for this weekend and scotty.

    Predictions anyone?

Iím actually feeling pretty confident of a DJRP return to form. I predict the bulls will falter but lowndes will find some form. I also predict HSV and Tickford will be much stronger than they have been, challenging for the lead at times even.

All the ford drivers are running to script.

To a man there are comments about the straight line speed.

Scotty and will on insta was epic.

It's like the good ol days where Holden would get a concession
    and win from it.

I think the ford guys need to focus on making the car easy to drive and let the straight line issues sort themselves out.

If we get lapped so be it.

Going to extremes to be competitive is not sustainable.

Remember it's not just one thing with these cars. At the start of the season it was all about panel weight.

Ok it might have been a potential issue and certainly a distraction. Reduced drag compared to downforce is obviously and advanatge but in chasing that you must not throw the baby out with the bath water.

That said, I was expecting pain at bathurst not so much here.

It's not massive speed here, not a lot different to some of the other tracks we have been at.

I think the biggest advance has come from the suspension that's allowing better corner speeds, later braking and better power down.

This is showing more of the true potential of the new package.

The natural advance that any new package brings.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
