This time 12 months ago we were hearing, we wont have another chance or that's it I am done with the sport.

I was writing that if penske is the team I think they are this will be the thing that galvanises and drives what could turn out to be the most dominant period the sport has ever seen.

It is impossible to tell if the loss of last year was meaningful in anyway to shaping the effort witnessed this year, but I think unquestionably we saw a different Scott.

A more mature but more importantly resilient Scott. He had the blow torched applied to him this year and he never cracked.

Focus like we havent seen previously from a blue oval team at this time of the year. A lesson to all to never give in or give up.

Like last year the penalty issued to the driver was not fitting of the crime. The sport has some work to do to resolve these issues but in the end it didnt matter.

The better car and driver won out in the end.

    Congratulations DJRTP

Roger doesn't come across as a guy that will settle with one championship.
A man like him is not the only team driven, he is legacy driven. This is just another step in laying down his foundation for the future and the people he ultimately serves.
There is still so much more to achieve and do in, and for the sport and the people that support it.

Like most sports, teams can have freak years, the real measure of this team will be what they can achieve over the next 3-5 years.

Rojer won't stop. You can see how he and Ryan have built the team and continue to look at improvements. They have the drive, the culture, and the resources. Recipe for extended success,

There is a very good chance Scott will go back to back. To win in a struggling car against the new ZB with all its advantages is huge. A massive achievement.

It’s will be interesting in what capacity Ford Performance can be called upon now. The floodgates might just open.

Announced today that Gary Rogers is losing Wilson security as naming rights sponsors for next year.

    That’s unfortunate. Tough conditions
