    Still looks low rent (if that's it)...

    Black door handles, black mirrors - scream of tarted up poverty package, not top of the line (unlike Wildtrack which looks top of the line).

    The majority of TuRD utes were written off in the first 12 months.

    Don't forget that these things also have no weight over the driving wheels and often crap coach spring rear suspension.

    In the days of the TuRD Hi-Lux these things were bought basically exclusively by chased up bogans whose brains were smaller than their um...

    I think the Amarok is about as powerful as you want in one of these hi-riding Utes. Any more without serious suspension, brake and tyre work and you have a recipe for disaster.

    I picking hsv has done something to allow it to get the power down.
    This is the first and probably most important post local-build hsv/walki they will make.
    If they stuff this up it would be hard to come back from.
    Given that they've gone to the effort of shoehorning in a completely different engine, I'm quietly confident this is gonna be a ball tearer.
