Are they moving ahead with ECE harmonisation and if so,
could that bring a change of circumstance or actually make things worse?
Logic says that if a Miami complies then this version should too...
Getting a RHD is another matter - maybe a petition of interested buyers with deposits?
Question,
If Ford has PP2 already as part of the Mustang package elsewhere in the world,
could they simply add that to ADR registration as an upgrade that may or may
come to Australia in future?
I find it odd that Ford would have to repeat all crash test on the V8 Mustang
to simply include those upgrades....could they simply apply as an upgrade
that doesn't affect the primary crash protection data?

Dunno. Its a good point worth exploring though.
As it stands low run specials with altered track width, noise and ride height issues mean expense to comply.
People fitting wider offset rims to Rangers for example as part of an aftermarket kit upgrade have found out their vehicles are actually unroadworthy.
These are the issues cars like this face.

True but the manufacturer does it and has those features approved via extensive field reliability testing
well, that a whole different kettle of fish. PP2/GT500 thoroughly tested and approved by the manufacturer
is way different to some punter lowering his car and putting different shocks tyres and suspension on it.
The GT500 isn't from Shelby, it's all Ford with them licensing the names from Shelby.
It has been earlier reported that the GT500 is to feature a dual clutch transmission derived from the Ford GT’s 7-speed DCT. Could it be that this "predator" 5.2 supercharge motor was headed to the Ford GT supercar and was decided to go with the V6TT leaving this for the GT500?
