I actually watched a fair bit.

I really like the concept, REALLY like it.

Seeing so many performance brands showcased is amazing to watch. So much exposure for the brands involved.

It's a more pure form of motorsport.

While the racing was without question action packed it was a worry at times the level of errors or impatience displayed.

We take for granted the skill level of our drivers, albeit helped significantly by the fact the parity specification creates such close performance levels from fastest to slowest allowing drivers to follow closely without incident and equally hard to pass..

Production based Racing means racing amongst a broad speed range, this requires patience and a level head. The red mist claimed more than a few.

So many safety cars, so much damage.

It was also a worry at times that the marshals were either caught napping or ill prepared to deal with various situations.

I know they're volunteers but to not have a yellow on the shunt that ended the race was down right dangerous.

Then the Morris BBQ, not to mention the view of marshals waving and whistling to bunkers trying to get their attention.

Not a good look on international stage.

Next year id love to go.

I watched a fair chunk too, but this time it felt like a Liqui-Moly commercial, with some motor racing interrupting the flow of the ads.

I reckon in an hour, you saw 25-30 minutes of racing. Don't get me started on the promos where they talked about Bathurst or the Coffee and Cars show (which even though was introduces as being on Sunday, was clearly filmed on Friday or Saturday). I want to watch a motor race, not the goings on around the circuit. Foxtel/Sky Sports UK really do spoil us with their Formula One Coverage. I HATED the pommy guy they had commentating too - I just gave up and put music on.

Mostert was just impatient, and Morris lived up to his old V8 nickname of Crash Bandicoot.

Norm - I'm with you, I want to go next year.

The concept doesn’t do a whole lot for me. Watching a race dictated by cars so slow they are lapped inside 20, isn’t fun.

It was amateur hour out there and it lasted for 12 hours.

Marshals not waving flags, not knowing how to use an extinguisher, were only matched by driving mistakes on track and pit mistakes resulting in more black flags than you want to see given the cost of these cars.

Not working on the cars while fueling, not a great spectacle given it’s ok for every other form of the sport to work simultaneously.

Once again I think a big part of the appeal with this form at this time of year comes down to the track itself.

Don’t get me wrong, yesterday was enjoyable, gets you in the mood for the season to come.

When this category puts on a show at clipsal, where at the track it makes sense, I would reconsider.

One of the highlights for me personally was learning little cows snap.

Chaz, needs to improve. He absolutely needs to race as much as he can because this is occurring too much.

Impatience cost him at Bathurst last year and he took Cam out as well. In the closing rounds, desperation cost dearly.

I see a lot of drivers saying as a racer you need to go for gaps, that a no for me. There is positioning and there is stupidity.

DNF ing, penalties are what put you in the hole in the first place. Saying you needed to invent a pass with three hours left and god knows how many more safety cars doesn’t work for me.

As a Tickford member, Chaz is our best racer but has to eliminate this aspect of his game to take the next step.
History is a statement, the future is a question.

i watched a big chunk in the middle of the day, while they are exotics, i didnt think the racing was that great
i guess not knowing the teams/drivers makes it hard to follow
as last year, its still not a class that interests me
