Not according to Uncle Roland, T8 to hand back their 3rd REC.

So, with these transaxles being a 'control' unit, are they sealed so to speak and repaired/maintained by Albins, or do the teams do the overhaul and maintenance of them?

Obviously from Tailem Bend we know the teams can/do change the drop gear, but if they are overhauled by the teams then that may be their issue?

Team's maintain them, but the maintenance cycle is nothing like they were initially promised by the manufacturer also. No doubt the team's all have their own tricks of the trade when it comes to reliability enhancements remember early on they had a tendency to vibrate enough to lose oil plugs/lines and those that were early to complete/test COTF builds held that info very close to their chests while others found the same failures.

Likely the installation, power and grip characteristics of the V8 Supercars just has the overall package too close to the limits so they are taking a lot more finessing to maintain an realistic duty cycle.

Diffs and Hollinger boxes surely weren't being swapped out multiples of times per meet after all, and the reason for the Transaxle was one of cost containment, which overall has not been achieved due to the reduced duty cycle

Tired of funding a car from basically their own pockets for a driver who repeatedly bites the hand that feeds him?

My prediction to. I dont think they are good for each other.
If Mark leaves, they will be better off as a two-car team even if their is not a lot of love between Cam and Chaz.
