TCR officially blocked from 2020 Adelaide 500.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
Unfucking believable. Well it was on the cards. The Adelaide event could have been huge with the both. SC's need the extra exposure and they could have renegotiated the contract investment. After this year they need a strong start with plenty of positive publicity both on and off the track. Hope Adelaide works for them.

The supports are getting worse and worse.
Barring the Porsche Cup the rest is meh.
They cannot stand on their own - the gaps between races is getting long in the tooth.
The SC format is that staggered and lame, Fridays are meh as well.

The Australian Racing Group (ARG) has acquired the commercial management rights to the Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters series.
ARG, promoter of the TCR Australia and S5000, has reached a deal to take over the running of the popular historic touring car category, which has been a regular feature on the Supercars support bill since its inception in 2007.

I love the Porsche cars, but the racing is pretty average. Seeing all the same model car race around the track is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Its actually why I hate the idea of single control engine for all cars in any category. The 'SuperUtes' are not doing for me either. It's just not that interesting.
Maybe Supercar's need to find more opportunities to get the main event cars out on the track, or extend the Super2 races?

Its a nice idea, gives more people opportunity to participate, especially pit crews.
The issues would be space in pit straight for the teams to have dedicated pit bays for booms and equipment, some circuits could cater to it, others wouldnt.
Id like to see a pit stop in TCM, get out your trolley jacks and wheel braces old school style.
