Nice update guys, what fluid do you plan on running for the brakes? Front splitter looks fantastic, a very nice pick up indeed. Chosen a colour for this thing yet, or will you wait till its fully complete to decide?

Fluid will start with something like Motul 660 or an AP fluid. Using something cheaper initially while we set up the brake system (pedal box, brake bias etc) as we will be bleeding it a lot. No point wasting good fluid. Once we go racing, I'd say castrol SRF fluid will probably be used.
As for colour: Blackbird
It will be a mix of matte black & black carbon vinyl. There will be red accents and possibly a hint of chrome/silver. Livery has not been designed yet. That is a while off.

Progressing along really well. Love the pickup of the front splitter. Is it hard to pick up other parts such as rollcages etc from race teams? Just thought that this might be an easier way of getting a few jobs done. Keep it going and keep the pics coming.
Ford Heritage : KF Laser, XF Ute, XH Tradesman Ute, EL Futura, AU2 Ute, XD Ute, XH XR6 Ute, BA XR8 Ute, SX Territory, BF XR8 Sedan, EB2 S XR6, EB1 S XR8, WQ Fiesta, FGX XR8, PX2 Ranger
Great pickup with the parts. Looking forward to more updates.
There aren't a lot of other parts from a V8SC that will be of any use to us. Remember BA-FG spec supercars are not production based cars and all panels etc won't bolt straight onto a production chassie like ours. The front bar is by no means a bolt on fit.
Roll cages are not that easy. They are welded and made inside the car and then CAMS certified. No way they can be removed. I'd doubt you would find a 'straight' cage left in the supercar field anyway.
Ideas will definitely be photoshopped. We will require a lot of test and tuning, which is all part of the fun.

Coming along nicely. I love the extra forethought and patience you guys have.
