Joined; anything major planned for facebook?
Updates of new activities on here perhaps? New features etc etc?
This is all going very well, keep it up.
Gab.
We appreciate the feedback. In fact we probably need a suggestion thread in tech section so we can get ideas and suggestions moving. At the minute the facebook part of the site is really just to get word out about the core portion, that being here. We decided not to launch into an aggressive membership drive by spamming sites as its not the polite thing to do in our eyes. On facebook we can go to pages and make comments as falconforums giving this site exposure. Right now we are about posting quality conversation topics and news so that people might feel inclined to join. We are obviously after quality and maintaining the feel we have today but we also have a number of members as an aim. We are well short of that and will review in about three weeks or thats my understanding. Thats the short term function of Facebook.
Sounds encouraging and just what I signed up for.
I would be happy to start a suggestion thread in the Tech section, perhaps a suggestions/feedback thread. That's one of the most positive ways to grow this great community in the direction intended.
Might do that now.
Joined!Looking forward to some interesting material....
Our facebook account just wished Lee Holdsworth a Happy Birthday.
A suggestion Ian, change the focus of the Facebook page to be cause related. In social nextworks people need a reason to follow others. Being an entity alone isn't enough unless your brand is established and holds a strong relationship with its supporters and consumers. I.e Ford for example. Your purpose must touch people in a manner that they can relate to and get behind. Do this well and others will rally and join your cause.
