I am actually excited about the coming season

It's been a while since I can honestly say I can't wait for the season to get underway. COTF looks better than I thought it would and the drivers are right behind it so I am looking forward to seeing this season out and then having a real look at the future.

I am heading to Clipsal for my 3rd event, great support card this year so I hope to see Seto in action in the XB coupe and then follow it up with an atmosphere that is probably second only to Bathurst.

Hope to get to four round this year and back up again for the first season of COTF.

I see Wilson Security has dumped Ford/Dalberto too and gone to sponsor Holden/BJR? 3rd team in as many years.

I really dont think COTF will change much
888 will dominate this year, and I think they will again next year, their budget and people skills is just a class above everyone elses
I persoanlly prefer to see the series as it originally was, a class for production vehicles, even tho a lot of modifications, than a NASCAR tyype formula which it will be next year
Dont get me wrong, I will still watch and follow my beloved DJR

Im keen to see how lap times compare with COTF, i do think though the changes while different are evolutionary not revolutionary. Cosmetically they'll be almost identical.

After listening to the drivers and the enthusiasm they have for COTF I have some hope and anticipation where previously I didn't. The sceptic would suggest they are hardly going to say anything different but the changes to suspension and gearboxes with wheel size and so on move the cars into a more specific racer category. the drivers are saying these cars will allow for greater racing which I think has to be good.

I agree about production racing, wish it would return to prominence so you get no argument whatsoever there. I know the TCM are now far removed but if these guys weren't on the card in Clipsal I don't think I would be going. Its these cars I want to see the most but yeah I am excited about the upcoming years racing and I haven't been like that for ages. Maybe it's the prospect of attending the 50th Bathurst as well.

Successful racing teams will always be successful no matter what the rules say. 888 I don't think are invincible but they are outstanding. They have quality drivers. I think when HRT and FPR bring their A game they can match 888 when the cards or officials fall on the right side of the fence. The addition to SBR of Holdsworth another interesting feature of this season.

Well not having been to the mountain since 1994 (go DJ and JB) I too am excited about attending this years race
But Bathurst is unique, it definitely has been a track that has favoured the red cars for a long long time now
but it still keeps you excited for the whole day

I Havent seen Tony or his PR bloke in a while, the public statements are nice but it will be a performance based split, they always seem to pull a rabbit out of their hat so ive no doubt TDR will find a suitable replacement.

I'm also excited about this season. I have a good feeling about FPR, if they start this year the same way they finished last year (I know that's not an FPR strong point) they will push Triple 8 all the way. Frosty was awesome in the second half of last year (scored more points than any other driver from Bathurst onwards) and I think Will should now settle in. I'm hoping to see Reynolds in the 55 car too, he would be a very welcome edition.

fpr made some woeful errors last year, if they can eliminate or work harder in that area they will most likely be fighting for the number at the last round.

I hope that FPR have the soft tyre well and truly under control now. Hopefully like others have said they will hit the ground running and put up a good fight. I hope that DJR will have a better year, i dont know what happened to Stevie J late last year, I pray that going to this multicar team wont put DJR back to where it was in financial trouble a few years ago before Jim Beam come on board. It will also be interesting to see how Holdsworth will go in the SBR car, hopefully it was the previous driver in the car and not the car its self. Van giz's car always seems to be up the pointy end, so that should help. No disrespect to Alex as he is a good driver, i guess the V8's just dont suit his style.
