As you all would probably know, I am looking at getting a FH XR8 if they turn out to my expectations. I also have a love of the original EB2 XR8 and XR6. So this got me thinking why not have the very first XR8 and the very last XR8?

An auto XR8 in not too bad condition. Motor is a runner with some minor damage on 2 panels. Mechanicals look solid and no oil leaks. More importantly a good point to start from. Then on the same day I looked and found this gem.

A great EB2 XR6. The only issue is no diff. This car is in great condition with great panels and interior. Motor is a runner and the mechanicals are also in great condition.
So the plan will be transfer the required panels, trims and interior to the XR8. There are some mechanicals that need to also be added. So including new tyres I will have a great factory looking XR8 for under $2500! The older gear will then be put on the XR6 and I will slowly build that back to factory. Haven't decided what I will do with it after that. Not much will have to be done to get it there though.
