What configuration of falcon means enough to you to make the last falcon a purchase consideration?
Would love the 8. Would have bought one over the T but no XR8 and GS/GT was too much for the budget.
For me its the simple fact that its the end so I want one.
Both engines are made here but I guess the inline six probably is the definitive Australian component of the Falcon. Ute, sedan, nothing more Australian than a Ute so I think I will go another Xr6T ute.
I've made it clear to wifey that I want one of the last Falcons. Whether I buy one new or second hand is still up for me to decide.
There will be an XR6T and an XR8, and I simply don't know which one to get. It will be a manual; there is no doubt about that and probably black, but as for the engine I simply don't know at this stage. The mental sound of the blown 5.0 is fantastic and I haven't owned a V8 in years, but the allure of having a home-grown performance car with a home-grown turbo I6 is equally appealing.
XR8 Wagon... oh wait...
Well to get me to buy one firstly it has to be better than AU. Now that's an ask that Ford haven't had the answer to as yet so .... to get close I'm thinking most likely a turbo 6, but if the RSPEC suspension is put in a V8 and it has a 351kW badge that would be it.
You Au guys are nearly as bad as the Wagon guys who are nearly as bad as the Fairlane guys.
Surely being the last has to buy some saving grace!
I wanted another GT and I still cant believe it wont be part of the ending which I rate as criminal but after reading Daves post an XR8........ ohh this is tough!
