Just heads up, apparently Ford are down to their last 40 F6 engines now in production, if you're looking to get an F6 get in quickly because they will be gone very soon.

Think they will build me a F6 manual ute?
Well I have to say I am disappointed with the way this has happened.
This is a halo car. On the weekend I was reminded just how good this car was/is.
In a year when Ford are struggling to sell Falcons I have no idea why they wouldn't end F6 with a limited edition model.
For a former performance car of the year, I am disappointed there isn't something to celebrate its achievement. Even if it was a simple sticker on the boot, years and awards achieved.
This is my first official black mark against Ford.
Agree, it would appear f6 ends with the last order and no special at all.
Yes the F6 was what gave FPV and Ford back its credibility in the bogan performance market.
After 5 years of just watching LS1s sail off into the distance on tracks the F6 not only took the crown but held it against everything that hold could throw at it regardless of cost.
Ian, are we that surprised by Fords actions ?!.....this just brought the bitter back into my train of thought.
Very disappointing news. Being the hero car for a number of years before the arrival of the s/c 5.0,
it really deserves to go out with a bang.
I take it this means no 310 power plant for the FH XR6T?
Umm yes I think I am. This is one of those opportunities that has gone through to the keeper. I don't think it needed to have serious money on it but yes I think there needed to be some model recognition and perhaps there was scope for a 100 cars.
Seeing this brings back old issues. The F6 hurt the GT in as much that it swallowed up development dollars and resources. To not continue with that, to make all that has gone before means something is disappointing.
It reflects the interest in the market, the V8 bias. Will be interesting to watch the slightly different demographic in Mustang.
F6 is such a huge part of FPV, yes I would have liked to have seen one more model update, or when the ute disappeared to make sure everyone at least knew it was going for good.
Its just a bit sad this one for me and yes I know what I said on AFF. Not everything I have said was with a straight bat.
so will they build me a one off F6 Ute, they don't even need to put the normal badges on it for me, let alone a commemorative badge
Just build me one, and I will buy it
