Hey everyone, in my ute the drivers side window is ridiculously slow at winding up, just wondered if anyone knew why? A few people have suggested a regulator but not 100% sure. Any suggestion, or has this happened to you?
Thanks, Todd.

I had the same problem in my old ute (the BF Super Pursuit). I did the same as Dazz mentioned and it worked a treat, definitely give it a go before coughing up for any new parts.
Thanks for the replies fellas, I'll head into town today and look for some of that spray Daz. Will take the door trims off and check when I get home, cheers!
Ok so I took the door trim off an it is definitely the regulator, because when I put the passenger window up at the same time as the drivers sides, the drivers side slows even more. I took a video of the sound that it makes on my phone, you can hear about halfway that the window begins to struggle. I am heading up to the wreckers to get a new one today!

Did you try lubricating the tracks? If they are fouled and providing too much resistance the motor will struggle, if you operate the passenger side it will struggle even more. Even on a brand new car the windows go up slower if you operate both at the same time due to the current load on the battery. Your video sounds normal to me for dirty guides as a potential problem, just like my ute was.
I ended up lubricating the whole bloody window haha. But I could actually move the glass itself, up and down, does that sound normal??
Not sure what you mean you could move the glass yourself, as in by hand? If so I would say that is not normal as you should be trying to move it against the motor.
Yeah I could shift the glass slightly side to side and up and down, definitely not normal. I might have to head into Ford and get them to check it, will cost an arm and a leg though!
The genuine Ford one clunked? How strange haha.
Was it hard to put in? That's the part that I was concerned about, what part did you need?
Thanks for the offer mate. See what happens.
