It's All About The Ego!

Got back from Gladstone yesterday with the new beast. It's a manual 2007 BF2 Ego XR8. Only had 49,500 km's on the clock and very well looked after by the previous owners. The plan is to swap a number of the parts from the ute before I offload the BA. Drives very well and no squeaks or rattles. No big plans for this one. Just get the parts over and enjoy the ride. Will post pics of the build as I change over items.

Thanks mate. Very happy with the new beast. Well looked after and was chasing an Ego coloured BF. Was originally looking at a GT but was obviously more expensive for what is not my regular drive. Also a lot easier to change over my parts from the ute. Couldn't go past the manual though would have worried too much if I got an auto.

Time to remove the stripes and swap the wheels!

Very Nice. Ego is a fantastic colour - mine looks awesome when Waxed up.

I've got two grey Falcons now. All I need to complete the set is something in the X Series, with three letters, and three odd numbers.

Finally got some time together to swap the rims and get rid of the stripes. First was the rims.

Then after some mucking around the stripes came off. I was going to keep the boss decal but it had degraded very badly. Was an absolute nightmare to take off. Luckily my wife gave me a hand but it still took over an hour and a half! Worth it though and happy with the result. Also chucked some mudspats on to protect the paint a little more.

I wasn't sure initially how the FG rims would look on the BF, but I am pretty happy with the result. A set of XR50 18 inch rims may look better so I will experiment with this later down the track. Will post some pics once I have finished with the interior. Nothing major here. Just changing the window and control LED's to blue so they match the cluster and ICC. Have put in the Ford plate on the scuff plate to liven the interior up.

The motor parts from the ute get bolted in this week. Then it's off to Lee at RDP for a tune on Friday. Can't wait to get some power in the sedan. Then the job is just about finished...
