Well that is unexpected.
As Ian stated, that is a very big call indeed.
How lucky are us Falcon fans?
Performance sixes, Performance eights, Steel bumper heritage cars, Legendary Performance from the fantastic plastics.
The Flying Falcon, soon gone, but never forgotten.:race:
Spot on project.
I'm not fussed what the print media report/quote - we know what we have from the past and to the end.
Just rapted I'm in the position getting one of the last.
Given the work and passion gone into those cars, then it is mission accomplished. Well done to the team.
Holden never really did that much with their V6 Commodore,
probably no need given easy supply of powerful V8s.
Kudos to Ford for having the ability to offer buyers an I-6 Turbo and V8 option at the same time.
I'm sure that took a lot of guts to overcome concerns of simply splitting the V8 market in two.
Very gratifying to see them put something like that in print. However I see it more as a slap across the face with a soggy trout to ALL the Ford V8 "flagship" models. It's a backhanded compliment that's for sure. It is not offending Holden/HSV in any way because they don't even compete in the market; they are about V8s and as long as their V8 is above the Ford V8 in the pecking order that's their only concern. And the magazine is basically reinforcing it by putting the Ford V8 beneath the 6.
The Ford 6 was above ALL V8s including the holden.....
Yes HSV have what may be a quicker car for a mere $40,000 more money but then Ford have their factory approved upgrades for the Mustang and in reality a HSV is just a commodore with factory approved upgrades, isn't it.
