Not sure on a standard Falcon AU but on the XR model it’s quite easy, just pull the rubber grommet off which reveal’s the plug, unplug and then remove the spring clip, which is just a push down and to the side job, pull old globe out and replace with new and do reversal of above, easy peasy.
I think from memory the only side that was a drama was the driver’s side as the battery box is in the way but still accessible,it has been a while since I changed mine but very simple and straight forward.
But that could be different on the standard headlight’s of the AU.
Err yeah from memory with the POS wagon we had, the driver's side was a PITA with the battery in the way, and the passenger's side was a PITA with the airbox restricting access
Had a few skinned knuckles and choice words afterwards if I recall
Shoulda bought a B series
haha, I hear you.
Shortcuts :highly_amused:
Ain't gonna happen, what a PIA just to replace the struts having to unbolt the reserviour - like what kind of an Engineer thinks of these PIA ways making it such a PIA to do anything unda the bonnet LOL.......
I came to a conclusion some time ago even though I still don't mind doing the odd job - have good reliable machanic, thanks mate :)
I changed both of mine about a month ago.
Unless you have hands the size of a three year old it is quicker, easier and much less stressful to take the battery and/or air box out.
The battery should take you about 1 minute and the air box about 3 minutes.
Just changed both without removing either.
Bit fiddly, the rubber boot is the biggest PIA. Took 10 mins a side.
I didn’t have to remove mine either, like I said a little tight but can be done quite easily.
Super cheap fit them for $5. Sometimes it's worth it for the entertainment value.
