Ahhhh...right.
I think I need a stiff drink after watching that
OMG, too right RW, that ad really sets you off a Ford lol.....
Oh wow...please take it back...
Like one of those awkward jokes that took too long to reach the punchline.
That was incredibly uncomfortable to watch...
It makes you cringe.
Is this a gee up or is it actually a Ford endorsed official ad ?
Those girls have done quite a few ads like this now.
It's not that bad. Not as if ford generally sets a high bar with its ads anyway.
Oh,,and that drivers hot....
It's official in as much as Ford product placement is obvious and Ford promoted this on their Facebook page.
My reaction was not great. I have watched it 7ish times now trying to understand why.
A few responses on Fords wall were not positive.
Things I didn't like.
Gasoline.
Spastic dance moves and facial expressions
Pulling up too far away from pump, why, are Ford drivers dumb
Mustang pulling up on the wrong side, why, are Ford drivers dumb.
From a Ford perspective I just don't get it.
Then it hit me. I have seen something like this before with three attractive women doing skits in cars.
So I traced this sketch she and sure enough they have a massive following and on their page the feedback was way more positive.
So what do you conclude from this.
Who is this aimed at! Is the corroboration with some group that's cool all Ford need?
Is the real story being told on this groups a fan site and not the car manufacturers?
I am trying to see something good in it. I get its not aimed at me.
It would make me turn off. I am embarrassed Ford are associated with it, but that's me being serious too much.
Is it possible there was a just for fun message in their instead of the assumption it was about fuel economy!
As a Ford owner, I don't like that portrayal. I just saw it as three people being stupid to the point of not being able to drive sing or dance.
I suspect that's not how it was intended.
