Which one if your favourite Mustang and why?
That’s a great video. Watching the power numbers was very interesting.
They lost the plot there in the 70s so for me it’s easier to say what I don’t like.
I do like the 69 shape and engine, but my favourite has to be the 17 GT350.
Ford Mustang definitely lost its way during the 70's.Quote:

The sheer purity of the 65 GT Fastback pulls me in bigtime.
After spending a bit of time around older Mustang enthusiasts the 64 to 66 model seem to be viewed as the purest of Mustang models. The fastbacks of that era are particularly beautiful and highly regarded. I have had people (nonenthuistsis ) claim mine wasn't a 'pony' as they recalled one to be due to this. I tend to view the 69-70 model as more of a muscle car in the true sense rather than a pony car.Quote:

Look, I obviously love the later Fastback, Mack1's etc and what Morm quotes But in the true sense of Pony the first ones just can't be beat due to the "freshness" they posses.
I love the brute of the later ones as you say, muscle in another way but I was quite surprised of myself seeing the early ones as perfection as they were.
Normally I'd be as Futura pretty much jumping towards the 17 GT350 or similar but the first ones just stand up next to these by sheer class.
