5.0L s/c GT owners give me your thoughts.

Ok guys, I'm nearly at a place where financially I can now start to look at a GT FPV, It's been a hard decision of mine as to which one to go for, GT FPV S/C or FG-X XR8, but as much as I love the look of the FG-X, I really desire a GT and love the FGII.

My first preference in the FPV range is a R spec in White, but they are pretty thin on the ground of late at a realistic price as well.

What I'd like is to hear from owners of S/C GT's and there real experiences as Ive never been in one and have nothing to base my conclusions on apart from what I hear/read on the net.

What troubles is there to be weary off ?, I have found a 2013 GT with 10,000 k that looks the goods, not far from me either, its silver in colour,not my first preference but right up there as well.

Its an auto, so do they still have trouble with the milkshake in the FPV's.

This car will be a keeper so Im in no real rush to buy the first one that comes along, I will buy with my head and wait for the right vehicle, but if anyone hear's of a White R Spec for sale with low k's, I'd be keen to hear.

This is an addiction there is no cure for. The Miami is something every blue blooded Ford fan should experience at least once in their lives.

Try for one with 9" rears, they have a healthy appetite for tyres and grip.

Only feed them the best in everything.

What models had the staggered wheels, or 9's on the rear ?.

I also forgot to mention that I have a strong preference for a stock vehicle, or near enough to.

Both RSpec and GTF have 9 inch rears. As well as the FGX XR8 and sprints.

They have plenty of power stock.

Always have a soft spot for RSpec GTs. If I had to buy another GT in the near future it will definitely be an Rspec.

Hmm thanks for the reply's guys, I actually prefer the standard GT with out the 9 inch rears, as I dont like the thought of tyres wearing out more then they would with the same size all around where I can rotate front to back, I'm not looking for a track inspired vehicle so to speak, more a family/weekend cruiser.
So in saying that as much as the R spec suspension may have the advantage over the GT, it's not something that I believe will benefit me.
I just prefer the R spec more so in the looks compartment over the GT, especially the panda eye treatment which I'm not really keen on personally.

GT-E maybe???

The biggest gripe i have with the std suspension is rebound control, or lack there of.

Sprint is the best of the lot for poise, RSpec didnt solve the issue, its just firmer on the compression stroke..

Yes I've been looking for a GT-E but they are thin on the ground as well, even more so then the R-spec.

Will be more than happy to buy your rear 9 inch rims if you end up buying a Rspec GT.
