Mondeo Diesel
Hi folks,
Got a family member interested in a Mondeo Titanium Wagon (so Diesel).
Does anyone one have any experience in them? I’m pushing Passat, but the Mondeo is far better value, in both wagon and sedan.
I have read that they’re a DSG - I hope they’re not the DSG that has been causing Ford dramas.
Is is there anything to look out for? It’ll be a 2017 or 2018 for Sync 3.
They sound pretty solid, but not a standout.
Does anybody know about these at all?

The diesel DSG is meant to be the wet clutch so not the dry setup that had problems.

Only buy a diesel if you want to die. The Advertiser stated, only drive your diesel car with the windows up and aircon on. They also stated that 300 truckies die a year from diesel soot. There not banning them the world over for nothing. People have got rocks in there head if they buy a diesel. There coming to an end, and it wont be long and they will be double the amount to register than unleaded petrol driven cars. And fair enough I say. If you want to poison our streets you pay.

We enjoyed our time Andrew but as Norm pointed out that model isn’t current now.

My Mrs has a 17.5 Titanium Hatch Diesel, we love it. No problems with the transmission as its a wet clutch (the problem ones are dry clutches). We easily get it down to 5.5 l/h even around town. Lots of features and you can get an ex demo cheap if you shop around! I was also looking at a ZB Calais V but the Mondeo was over 12k cheaper (even with a Calais demo).

Beautiful car, great value and they drive extremely well.

I reckon for a daily shopping trolley they are a ok.
Just need to get them out on the open road now and then to blow clean them out.
