2021 and go.
At this point in time I've lost interest sc.
But will probably keep an eye how new drivers go
Annoyed sc want to push gen3 parts n cars through. Seems OK to bend the rules now but wouldn't when mustang first arrived.
I don't know the whole sport has kinda taken a dive. Starting with racing at Bathurst twice, Bathurst has become soooo boring, it was the timing of one pit stop that decided the last winner. If Adelaide so bloody good why didn't sc try harder to keep it going. Yes I know it's not all sc fault but it's a bloody big draw card and surely they could of found the money to help get government back on board.I fear it's gone for good. After all they sold out to foxtel again
What are sc doing wrong that have our gen walking away from it?
Is the foxtel deal as good as it looks from the outside? (personally no)
No excitement I think, manufactured wins by having soft tyres.
Don't know?
My thoghtd,
Only one tyre compound per race.
Allow more tyres and fuel. No compulsory limits.
Fuel tank size is upto the teams.
No compulsory pit stops.
No pit stops while safety car is out.
Reduce saftey car by having lights around the track in stages. Drivers need to slow to x speed in the light area.
As in yellow to slow and when the next green light is shown is normal race again.
Increase the number of cars to atleast 32 plus. Bathurst 40 plus.
Telecast needs to be on Foxtel as FTA want pay as much and FTA doesn't show all the racing, qualifying for all categories.
Let drivers and teams say what they think without being fined by SC.
Change the cometary from being Holden bias or at least get a Ford bias person as well.
some good points CATXR8.
I'll add the need of re introducing more support catergries, its become a snooze fest in between and they are trying to appease with more practice sessions yaddayadda this is just BS.
Punters need "action" on the track, not a practice parade.
The series has become a "plastic" FOX production, the games DNA is being more and more diluted, soon will replicate e/sim racing.
In saying that the copious amounts of driver and team shuffling at least retains my interest this coming season.
The new broadcast team has been announced. It's a bit of a Holden Drive/Team-fest with Skaife, Lowndes, Tander, Perkins, Murphy ... (yes I' aware some of these drivers drove Ford's too!)
Previously, I struggled with the concept of teams in pit lane being interviewed and asked strategic questions from Lowndes when he was still contracted by Tripe 8. Now Tander is in the mix too that doubles down on the issue facing those teams. The whole idea in my mind doesn't pass the pub test.
That said, Lowndes is said to be removed from pit lane reporting and will instead be performing pre produced content such as driving race cars and the pit car and the like. That leaves Tander on the panel. While I'm by no means a fan he does present professionally and come across reasonably objectively.
Other than this, I have no major issues with the new ring-ins I guess, although I still don't understand why Riana was let go. Charli isn't really her replacement. If anyone, she is a replacement for Kate Peck in trying to reach a broader audience and covering some 'colour' topics, whatever than means. Sounds a bit stereotyped.
Thankgoodness for Larko back !
I'm locking in Feb 27 heading up to Bathurst for an overnighter - fingers crossed we keep covid free by then !
I see Boost has decided to sponsor two cars representing two different teams and manufacturers. Reminds of the old Castrol days when there was Ingals Commodore and Tony Longhurst's Falcon.

from memory of the livery reveals Castrol is on 2-3 cars this year.....
I'm looking forward to the weekend.
Yes, mate. The difference here is Boost is the primary sponsor on both cars.
While I suspect this represent an each-way bet and a way of not marginalizing red or blue fans from the brand it does tend to indicate that Boost has failed to understand the red/blue tribalism that exists.
A two-way bet simply means that neither side is likely to truly adopt the brand unless of course, they couldn't care less about the Ford/GM rivary and/or follow that particular driver/team as their priority.
