I think that synthetic fuels will become a very interesting subject moving forward. Lambo and Porsche have already stated that some of their lines will not be EV and that they will be pursuing synthetic options. The argument around the full carbon cost of Ev and recycling etc may become an issue depending on which way you want to run with it. My understanding with some of the synthetics in the EU is that you can run older cars with them without too many issues. I have not seen the pollutant levels so cannot comment on this. My preference as a consumer would be synthetics as I love the sound of ICE. It just comes down to cost and environmental pollutant levels.
