Your comments sound like old folks who uses to say in the 80's if everyone had air-conditioning, the grid would go belly up. We found a way to be more efficient as we moved to almost all houses having air-condition. Next step would be to ban central units and switch to split systems. Again, a central unit uses way more per day than an EV. Heck, my split system uses more than my EV.
With more solar, better understanding on how to shift load periods the grid will be just fine.

There is no foil hat, unless a battery the size of Tasmania is built, the current crop of renewable power technologies are next to useless. Anyone claiming that renewables as they exist and the amount of battery backup in existence and planning are able to replace baseload generating capacity are talking out of their arse.Quote:
