I used to love attending these shows. Not sure what it will be like with no Holden and no Ford manufacturering but I will give it a chance and book a flight.

yes Ian pleasant to see but for what as mentioned the locals anymore :(
Makes for heavy heart thinking about it, EV's galore ? feck em still can't grasp the change.
I'll wait till it nears may line up a business trip.
Very recently I had a meal with Leigh Andrew and his lovely wife. We spoke about the good old days and these shows were a big part of those days.
I used to message for employees I had met along the journey to see if they would attend the show and align my trip to see them. I spent the majority of the day just talking to these people I consider to be my hero.
We are coming up to a decade of our industry being a lesser version of itself and to me the pain has not improved. What we lost, it should never been that way, but no good lamenting.
I’m going to attend and in another thread I will explain why.
No ford participation by the looks of it. A shadow of its former glorying.
sign of the times, EV shit show.
Yep - bloody dissappointing. Missus is talking about upgrading her car. What can she get from Ford? Smallish sedan/hatch/SUV - Nothing.
Sign of the times randel.
Companies change but Ford had been doing illogical changes for years long before recent times.
Wonder what shit show is happening in Detroit after decades F150 being no1 lost out to the bloody RAV4 hahaha

Everest, Ranger, Mustang, Mach E, F-150 & Transit.
is the Puma still a thing?
As you know, I bought my wife a Volvo this time around. It was Ford Lasers, Focus's, and Fiesta's in the past. Ford (in Australia anyway) is no longer in the small car business. They've most likely seen the writing on the wall and stuck to doing more with less in the segments they have traditionally done well at. This has proved to be quite successful to date but even these segments are highly competitive and changing.
I love my new Ranger but I did look at BYD Shark 6 and it was an impressive piece of kit, if not for its limited tow rating.
