Ok guys and gals, whats your favourite polish and wax system and why? im a Mcquires fan, love the quality of feel and shine. There are plenty of others.
I have used Mcquairs and Pinncle in the past but now I am using Menzerna for cut/polish and P2IS/OCW for wax.
Wax - Dodo Juice Hard Candy. If it can make my EF feel like new (it hasn't seen the inside of my garage since 2008), then it will work on anything.
Polish - I've previously used Mother's three step system, but will only use it as a two step system, and keep the Dodo Juice.
Obviously, both applied by hand.
Polishes: Menzerna for when the Festool comes out, Autoglym for quick in between times
Wax's: Dodo Juice (Supernatural or White Diamond) usually, but last time I used Autoglym's wax as well as gloss protection.

Been a fan of Megs prof series for ages but starting to look at the expensives of waxit.... also Turtle wax Ice for pre show shine. Hot car, full sun.... wipe on and buff off. easy.
I have used a range of megs (standard range, NXT gen and ultimate) and 3M and other various products in the past. I have just moved into the Autoglym and Bowdens range. Bowdens for car wash, window cleaner and degreser. Using the Autoglym super resin polish and have just bought their pro range for paint cleaner and wax blend and a gloss protection.
One of these days i will 'man' up and get a buffer.
Tim, mine has hardly been buffed - infact I think once, she looking fine imo next to buffed finishs.
I dont mind the buffer and the concept, its just i have seen so many horror stories and so many 'enthusiasts' like myself do it wrong, im just not prepared to take that risk on either of my cars. But i guess at the end of the day it really is no different to rubbing marks into the paint when you hand polish.
If you go for a R/O machine and keep speed's in a safe manner you have very little chance of causing damage as it is vertually impossible to do so, it's only the horror stories you hear about people that have very little knowledge and go straight to a forced/rotary machine and use a fast speed and spend so much time in one spot or don't take caution near/around edges etc that have troubles, but if you take your time and don't rush thing's you will enjoy using a machine and wonder why you ever did it by hand beforehand.Quote:
