My XE :) C351XE
My 1982 XE "S" Pack
Started life before I brought it as a 6 cylinder auto. Previous owner put the 351 clevo, T5 5 Speed and 2.92 LSD rear end.
I had it for a few months tossing around what I actually wanted to do with it. Group C/DJR look-a-like/keep it standard....
So after a road trip from Bendigo to Brisbane and back with 3 other adults, and not missing a beat, it was decided to use it in our up-and-coming wedding, with funds being on the tighter side, brought some big (wide) wheels, that one day if I want to add the 4" flares I could with big rubber, and began to deconstruct. Unfortunately, not having the facility’s at the time to remove the engine, the engine bay would have to wait till a later date.
As she was when I brought it.

Very nice XE you have there, nice colour to! It's great to see people restoring these series (XD-E & F). It will look fantastic if you end up adding the big flares to. What type of HP is the 351 making? Any plans for upgrading the diff gears/diff?
Well done.

Thanks mate. At this stage no real plans to upgrade the rear end. A nine inch would be good for bragging rights at the pub but to be honest its just weight to carry around that I wouldnt really use.
I only ever use it for cruising around and taking to show and shines, so the 2.92 makes it quite good for cruising on the highway.
As for HP, I have know idea! lol The engine is out at the moment, but needs some real money on it to make it sing.
I would like to put a fresh block in it, (new Pavtek blocks look nice:) The old gal is already .030 over) close chamber heads and straight gas to get some good bang for buck at the bowser.
If money ONLY did grow on trees! :D

Havn't seen this one floating around Bendigo before, look's good mate, you don't see to many X/D/E's around town.
-
yer I'm loving it - got to do the the flared gaurds and dump it lower its the perfect combo for the XSeries.

The green looks awesome, it did take a couple of looks to grow on me though. Was the original colour Saffron?

Love it Matt. Look out for it to feature on the facebook site soon.
