I was only at Napa in the weekend, if I had known ab had a new store up the road I would have checked it out. Will have to be an impressive store though, Napa/ab is one hell of a big well run store. Many times better than any other autobarn I've been to here. In fact most ab's up here are worse than supercrap.Quote:

Correct mate, Logan AB store has been their front runner for as long as I can recall, the HQ gave him more concessions than any other store in the network doing his own thing out of Franchise agreements due to his turn over whereas other stores were rapt on the knuckles.
Hence why I said they would be ropeable he taking Napas offer.
The bad thing about this is the future americanisation change of our Reseller market in the future I'm seeing.

Getting your brand in front of the target audience is paramount, but consistently displaying it over an extended period gets it burned into their minds....
Look at the experiment a few years ago selling round liveries... It failed for a number of reasons including a lot of sponsors only getting 1 or 2 weekends of exposure for the year..
If i had $100K to spend on advertising and thought motorsport was an excellent avenue to reach my potential customer base i'd try and get involved in the whole series, not 1 race.

Not sure what the timing of the announcement means. I would think that it points to Pra retention because if you were going to release him, you would give yourself the best opportunity and most time.

Yes some companies I watch and know only do Bathurst regards to motor racing.
As do a huge portion of the crowd.
I have been watching for years who do NO marketing/expenditure on any Supercar but ONLY promote through SCA pre and post Bathurst on their website as well as invested having their people on the ground over the 5days performing staggered "activation" presentations in this store.
The customer base is all - they have specific targets for every type.
Then there is SCA ClubPlus membership, over 2m is another huge target that have all types as well.
All this just at Bathurst for many brands - actually maintains traction year in year out.
