Nice touch of the Ford team support - I'm feeling the same way being its on its last year even more so !
I like the look of the lower front bar addition, might look into this once I settle in back home.
With the heat this weekend, not much happening. Along with PRA I have decided to support DJRTP this year. This arrived with my pack on Friday so straight onto Vader. Proud to advertise my support for the Ford teams.

So, where does the PRA supporters decal go ?
Nothing really new to add on the Vader front. Has been a highway junkie for the past 3-4 months going to Brissy and back once a month so the km's are down along with the average consumption (currently sitting at 10.4). Last week accelerated into merging traffic and I must admit the XR8 felt very doughy which surprised and disappointed me a bit. Didn't think much more about it and went home.

Work has been flat for the past 3-4 months so I decided today to take Vader out on a "spirited" coffee run for the wife. 30 minutes later, one very big smile on my face, and I can confirm that last week was rubbish. This car is a weapon! Get some warmth into the engine the torque is brilliant. Window down that supercharger is addictive and exhaust crackle a charm. The gear shirt seems to be improving with age on blipping on down changes is fun. Handling for a big car is still very good. Still a bit of understeer in the tighter corners but get it right and the big Falcon rewards. I know that the seating position thing has reared its head again lately. Yep coming out of another car it is different. But 10 minutes later it feels right and you just want to drive this thing. Money is tight at the moment but I will be fighting to keep this car. So glad I took the plunge.

Back home and detailed. Finally got a few polishing items for the Dremell and did the exhaust tips. Tried a few combo's but got it right eventually. Will finish them off properly next time. Till then Vader will be back in the cave for a couple of weeks.

Really like that front lip spoiler. So simple but really finishes it off nicely. Hope you dont have to be placed into a situation where you need to sell the car. That would result in a terrible loss in both value and enjoyment. I for one believe this model will eventually become an appreciating asset but its going to be a long game. Family first as they say.
BTW The temporary power loss you experienced may have been caused by heat soak. That's what 335 kws at the fly actually feels like! lol
Need more side and 1/4 on shots of the front splitter Perko!!
Love reading these updates mate.
Those personal touchs on the XR8, plenty.
Can you explain your plate ? and the good ol martian.
Talk about a Start Wars museum ! Darth Vadar alright.
