I have a conudum, i have a mitsi canta for a work vehicle, but it is getting old, and a head gasket is on the way out.
Do i get a jumbo transit for $62,000 or an LDV for $40,000 ?
My brother just bought a 5yr old Hiace for his son who races motorcross.
The only negative that I agree is the front doesn't much protection IF a head on, the rest it does the job !
Low maintenance, reliability and bonus if it matters retains good value when wishing to sell or trade up.
I wouldn't go the Transit Blue.
Go the Jumbo Transit over the LDV anyday.

Early model transits had a few issues, but anything from 2006 are pretty good reliable vehicles, and boy do they hold their resale
