Well, I had word on this not long ago.
I didn't really consider the thought BUT this now has me really putting on the thinking cap.
There are a number of ways people can view this proposition. In your head you can make it what you want.
I feel a deep connection to it because it’s what should have occurred and was included in the original funding cost as I understand it.
For me it finishes the story and that was only possible if it’s “owners” go the the opportunity to do it.
Ideally it would have been nice to have been in GTF and sprint or sprint just to show people whatbthis engien was capable of, but that wasn’t to be.
Some of the reporting isn’t accurate. It also doesn’t matter now. No one is really being hurt but the inaccuracy provided people go in with eyes open and heart inthe right place.
I say heart because that’s where passion comes from. I don’t think Bernie and his team needed to do this. Wanting to do it is something very different and I appreciate and respect that.
The intercooler is something I have always thought about but loathed to get so far. Trying to keep the XR8 factory has been at the top of my list so that any mods must be discreet. This package for me is not a head thing. I can't logically justify the amount but the heart is different. It says that if I was going to work on the engine that this is who I would want to do the work. Realistically the price is above my budget so the head has to have some input. After the initial excitement of this passes I will sit down and honestly weigh up my options.

I could easily do a tune/exhaust and be done with it.
Give me enough powa and sound so to speak But this has thrown my mind into a spin.
It it a quality enhancement that was meant to be better late than never and through Prodrive the brains of FPV int he first place makes it enticing that its a factory job without it being one knowing them.
The heart says yes and my head spins at the amount just as yourself so this has me throwing up what I would be doing regards updating from Hilux, I can live without a 4x4 as my daily but the practical side of it comes into my equation.
Trips to bunnings/picking items up here or there/trowing crap in the back etc....
Just selling the Hilux gives me the budget hands down but then do I turn Sprint HO into a daily ?
Sprint is not an investment, its my forever toy so this upgrade would be awesum and I feel a a huge plus.
OR my other thought before this Holy Grail was/is saying bye bye 4x4 and update to a Pony for daily that wouldn't be as loved as Sprint/T3 so using it for whatever wouldn't bother me.
So I'll be juggling these thoughts over the coming months, may not even change a thing in the end lol but its a curve ball.
From my perspective these will be "Walkinshaw" falcons and despite being exceptionally quick will sit with the DJR, Turbo EA. Phase 5 and all the other boutique enhanced vehicles when it comes to "collectability"
only to those that want originals, there will be plenty of those for buying in the future.
There is nothing quoted or discussed regards "collectability"......

True. One thing I am a bit confused about is the ZF is rated at a maximum torque of 650Nm. Will the upgrade be "manual only"?
