    My 2001 AU2 220 XR8 cost $49K Drive away and my 2003 BA XR8 cost $50K drive away....

Its 2014, high 50's is still far cheaper relative to inflation than either of my 2 XR8's purchased over a decade ago....

My AU XR8 with Kit 17s and momo wheel cost me 52 I think. 1998
Series 2 got standard kit and rims 200kw engine, and options like brakes leather and premium sound for much less. Thats the GST correction factor too.

In the last Xr8 series, Fg the rrp was identical to Xr6T. high 40s was it, 47 or 49
History is a statement, the future is a question.

I'd put my money on the new XR8 being at the same price point, from what you guys are saying they're all around the same price over the years.

I thought $50K was a bit rich but I guess I've just seen the heavily discounted prices floating around in the last few years for the XR6T.

I reckon less than GS money.

Depends what it comes with standard though (e.g. 4 pot brembos).

If memory serves me correctly they discounted the FG XR8 late in the perceive to get them moving off dealer lots because buyer interest was drying up.

FG XR8 was too dear at the time for what it was.

Before or after it was discounted? I guess the problem with the FG XR8 was that it was basically an XR6 with a V8 in it, there was nothing else that was "special" about the car. Hopefully the FX will change that.

Isn't that what all the B series XR8s were too?
