Dont think i havn't already contemplated buying one mate...

No electric windows No cup or sunglass holder No cruise control *sigh*

But there is just something nostalgic about it even without a sunroof and lack of a manual box...


I think its a keeper plus my 20" Simmons do not fit so it is going to stay a Sprint clone i guess

Should have waited till my new rotors turned up before fitting them, as it took over an hour to wire wheel off the 25yr's of surface rust on all the hubs to make them fit on

I thought this had ABS but alas it doesn't so the rotors i bought have been sent back...

Hopefully they will be here by monday and i can get all the calipers rebuilt.. Because the rears locked on coming home yesterday and the brake shop i had it towed too wanted $1700 just to do the rear brakes GTFO !

I now can get them done @ Southport Brake Re-sleeving for $155 a side rear, $120 per side front 4hr turn around, Rotors from REPCO at $55 each and $100 for front and rear pads, doing all the work myself Priceless !!

Spoke to Lachlan @ Chiptorque about transplanting my ayoo motor and box ecu etc into the EB and he was keen as mustard...

Then we went through the process of disabling Smartlock, running only one ecu in the EB as it currently uses two ecu's for both motor and trans and it soon became apparent how much work was needed especially on the wiring front, plus i would need another Xcal3 to tune it.

So he advised to just sell the ayoo parts and he will just fit a T1 J3 chip to this car once my exhaust and airbox goes on... it will go just as hard with 20rwkw less and 350kg lighter

The wiring has been modified to run these quad lights i really want to buy new ed lights and a grill and then piss them off as i dont like the lack of brightness at all !!

I spent all day stripping the ayoo for its trip to the wreckers...

I had literally filled it up with fuel only 10mins before its demise, so after finally dealing with its fuel theft prevention filler neck wifey and i managed to extract over 60L of Premium and transferred it into the EB

I think it's a disease ?

Replaced the expansion tank and fresh coolant and drove approx 20km's.

The car started missing and farting... it blew the heater hose under the manifold and coolant was dropping onto the distributor..

Tried to rectify it on the side of the road and tore the fucker clean off the heater tap

Anyway's all good now...

Fitted up the convo's as i need spacers to make the Simmons fit on the front !!
