It was dry. Most snake bites humans get are dry (i.e. a 'warning' or defensive bite as they need to preserve their venom for prey) but even so, you need to treat it as a legit bite just in case and get to hospital. The Gwardar has small fangs and it was very hard to see the puncture wounds but knowing that a Gwardar bite is just as nasty as a Dugite I erred on the side of caution and got seen to ASAP. I didn't even see it - just felt the jab and saw the marks afterwards.

    Yeah.

Browns are normally not strikers either.

Dad got grazed by a tiger a few years ago relocating it, barely a scratch, within an hour he was in deep trouble, got airifted to Geelong hospital, it nearly killed him.

Browns are more venemous than Tigers but have small fangs where as tigers have larger fangs, are far more agressive and multi strike, browns only want to get away.

This is why tigers are considered more deadly despite Browns having more toxic venom.

Bought a supposedly brand new Makita chainsaw from Bunnings that's engine has been run, and Makita don't seem to care

And became officially unemployed. Happy days! LOL
    Now thats a HNY !
Spend $$$'s on the Toy !
A Brownyy tells you don't go there ! (damn good your ok now mate)
and surprisingly Bunnigs don't replace the new Makita !
Interesting start to 2018 RW incl the whats to happen on the work front.

    I'm surprised on/the Makita/Bunnings scenario.
I've had recent good experiences of late.
As some know with the new place there was a new dish washer that we weren't happy with, having checked the branding being Bellini its a Bunnings product.
We called, explained we have it brand new never used with all the warranty/user manual inside never opened they actually "credited" us the full price without any invoice so we drove up to dump it off - loved it, Mrs's looked up for a high spec Blanco and showed the person serving us, they looked it up on their system and it was $900 - wife looked up on the mobile best prices and showed her $440, they matched it and ordered it in.
Out of pocket $20 ! love it.

    Bye Bye Jetta.
    So, nice step up Pax.
Funny isn't it, the market has walked away from wagons but I've always loved them and these later styles etc look great.
Mind you I still have a bone with Das Auto due to diesel gate but some of their vehicles are good gear.
So Jetta traded byebye - nice saving from new price I'm sure good buying sir.

Just adding to the Bunnings and general scenario in our country regards to product/s.
From the days growing up with brands/products that were built very well, high standards and last 20+ yrsa in some case's to todays "throw away" society more due to consumers expecting cheap pricing my more than normal than usual visits to Bunnings etc I can't stand the amount of cheap quality items.
Like don't get me wrong I love a bargain/savings but on consumables etc I don't want to have to buy them every 6mths etc.
    It piss's me off.
Light bulbs etc are so shit today.
My new property also needs some path lighting so I thought lets try out some of this solar stuff.
Shit ! I've bought a variety to 15-20 to date - some only last for a week !
So I do some fishing with a staff member who seems to be in the know, nah mate only buy the Duracell or this other brand, I buy the Duracell pack of 4 path lights, they felt heavy and far better quality - 2 lasted 2wks, one the plastic ground spike has erectile dis function worse than me lol.....
Sure its great they take everything back but what a waste of my time.
Hose connectors etcetc are shit today - like I know you can buy high end stuff but we once used to have available good/better type product that would last for years.
    My whinge for the day

Thanks - yeah it was time to move on the Jetta. Wasn't really looking (I actually fancied a Passat CC V6) but this one was too good to pass up. I didn't want an SUV - the higher riding Wagon ticks all the boxes I want, plus a tow bar.

I will throw up some photos when I have had a chance to polish/wax it - it is clean but the paint needs some love.

Three days in, so far so good. It doesn't feel any slower than the Jetta did either, given it is a lower powered engine, same gearbox and is a few hundred kilos heavier.

We bought about 15/20 of elcheapo Bunnings garden lights (like $5 each or something) and about half of them failed in the first month, the rest lasted pretty well and we are down to 3-4 that still work at all two years later.

We got a solar security light from Aldi, hands down the single best solar light I've ever bought. It's bright as hell, tough and just works perfectly still nearly 12 months on.
I just wish they would get them in again, even at $50 each I'd buy another ten i reckon.
