Back in the good old B series days I bought the updates every 6 months or so at $400 odd each but found they were always a year or two behind Garmin etc. so I never bought another one as an option and in fact if it had been an option on the Sprint I would not have ordered it.
I see the Moostangs have Sync 3 which will talk to Android and IOS so I suspect the satnav in the not so distant future will be an APP.

I emailed ford customer service over 3 weeks ago and never heard back from them.
I dont expect you to get one cause its not supported anymore.
some good news though not about updates to the maps, I've noticed that the maps are still getting traffic updates which is good news!
