Hopefully one day these models will end up here in Australia.
In the past there has been this thing about support giving justification for getting more.

Support Rspec and it makes the business case for Gt500 better.

I just dint see that being the case anymore. It’s used to be that way with FPV for sure but that’s when we were are only market.

Gt500 would need a greater RHD market unless you go limited volume high price in some sort of conversion.

We want price parity. Right now the biggest issue outside availability is a huge price penalty.

Corvette is delayed now till 2021, but our spec is high. No stingray. Lots of content, high specification suggesting price gouging outside currency conversion.

We all knew we were staring at the demise of affordable V8 performance in this sort of segment but I guess it does skip a rung or two and end up in supercar territory.

I am with you. Now GT500 is about and I can see what Fords vision and content is, Rspec is a tough ask. Torn between wanting to support this venture but conflicted in being manual only and at 114k. If there had been a NA version at 70 ish, that’s different. I could get behind that and tip it out should a 500 become available. However I think spending 100k plus is bad in terms of justification to get the 500.

If anything I think it’s possible you are eating away the pure Ford consumer who might be your 500 client.

A GT500 if it’s limited, you are going to get a huge number of new to Ford owners. Sure some mustang clients but also big money never to Ford owners.
History is a statement, the future is a question.
