    The Mustang brand remains quite niche here in Australia, unlike in America.

    I agree that new adopters of Ford products in Australia would probably make up a significant portion of buyers. It would be interesting to see the breakout of sales customer profile data. For example, have they owned a Ford before, have they owned a Mustang before etc

    For me, I like that the Mach E offers a perception of pedigree and performance that most other EV SUV's on the market do not. But this does come at a price premium that's difficult to justify as already discussed.

    In Australia, I suspect time to market, increasing competition and pricing strategy have all been barriers to sales, although prices have now received some realignment from 2024. Unlike in the US, we also lack a sense of patriotism about the Mustang brand as we had with models like Ranger, Falcon, Territory, Holden etc
