all that chrome on the front (bonnet protector, visor etc) throws a LOT of glare when they are driving in to the sun, which is ultra annoying if you happen to be driving away from the sun and toward the truck.....

kw and mack were like ford and holden in our house growing up, and i was on the mack side, but that does look ok.

Does anyone recall the TYMPAT Prime Movers that ran the Hume Highway many years ago?
They were always immaculate, the old Ward's Overnighters, with their immaculate trailers, were a good looking rig as well.
They were also a pretty quick truck on the Putty Road.

TYMPAT (Two Young Medical Practitioners Avoiding Tax) was eventually bought out by the (in)famous Roccisano's of Shepparton

There was a mob out of Canberra that had a shit load of chrome on their trucks a long time before it got fashionable, can't remember their name, but they carried 'produce' (go figure)

There was also a mob called "Teamster's Haulage" that ran Sydney- Melbourne.
Chrome sumps & rocker covers on their Detroit Engines, they sounded sweet at full rpm.

Whilst many questioned where the money came from, he was also a victim of the mining downturn. He did extremely specialised work and when that dried up....

True HHA was one of the best presented fleets in the land.

That said the guy was, is, and always will be a shonk.

He ripped off his father, he ripped off his best friend who loaned him the cash to buy his 1st truck 15 years ago and is still waiting for it back. This is not hearsay. I worked with both of those people.

He sold most of his collectible trucks to Dave Larsen who is storing them until the storm passes. When they will no doubt be sold back. And I'm sure there would have been a cash component. There is the Blue Mack, a tribute to his dad Brian 'The Skull' Kelly that's still missing.

All the guys that worked for him waited many months to get paid. Klos bros got to the point where they wouldn't start work without pre payment.

And PJ's Paint in Bris had a C509 in for paint as HHA fell over. They did a deal of sort with Kelly and bought the cab, The chassis got towed and sent to Auction. It of course went cheap. Pj's bought it because well they had one to fit it. All perfectly legal. And a way to 'Look after' a supplier. That kind of shonkery doesnt happen by accident. These guys are talented.
The problem with society today, is that nobody drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.
