    Hi GSboss,

I know it way to late to answer your question as no doubt you have completed the exhaust upgrade some time ago, but i have only just joined this forum.

Yes I have had the xforce varex exhaust from the cat back installed some time ago. Sadly the system does not provide the sound as stated in their ads or on their wed site.

On the Fords Xforce place the varex (mufflers with butterfly valves which allow the choice of LOUD or quiet) in the middle of the vehicle. They then install two large very beautiful rear mufflers on with the two tips on each thus giving quad exhaust.

This looks great BUT THE SOUND IS NO LOUDER THAN THE ORIGINAL SINGLE EXHAUST from the manufacturer.

The two rear mufflers are way to effective and infect so good that you can not hear any real difference when the Varex valves are opened or closed. By the way the same Xforce Varex system for the Commodores do not have this problem as

That post was made in April 2016. I think it's fair to say they are no longer needing that question answered.
That said rdo2n response is interesting on the xforce system. I assume this may be due to ADR requirements where the factory system is close to the limit already? rdo2n you mention you had a single system. What car was this fitted to? Regardless, most of the noise comes from the rear resonator mufflers, not so much the centre one. So it would make more sense (to me ) to fit the bi-modal control valves to the rear as they do with most factory cars.

Looking at the Xforce site where they show their Varex products it looks to me like you would need to buy (and install ) the two rear mufflers with the bi-modal valve system fitted to make your system effective as a bimodal setup. Without doing so I can't see how the system would work as a true bi-modal solution.
